About Dover Travel Soccer
The DSA Travel program currently serves the City of Dover and
surrounding communities. DSA Travel Soccer is designed for appropriately motivated players,
ages U9 to 14 yrs. old in the fall and U9 to 18 yrs. old in the spring. DSA Travel Soccer
provides an outlet for players to play with and against those of similar motivation and
ability in a fun and competitive environment.
All players wishing to compete in the DSA travel league must complete an evaluation process to determine if travel league best suits current skill level, motivation and abilities. While we recognize that travel soccer may not prove an ideal fit for every player, DSA strives to place as many kids on teams throughout our various programs as possible. With that in mind, DSA also offers a recreational league that could offer some light travel with surrounding seacoast towns.
Travel teams are registered to play with New Hampshire Soccer League, State affiliation is through the New Hampshire Soccer Association
Travel soccer commitments include two practices a week. There is usually one game per weekend (played either home or away). Two games may be scheduled for a weekend but this is not typical. Games cancelled due to weather or other circumstances are re-scheduled at the convenience of field & team availability. Spring Season starts mid-April and finishes mid-June. Fall Season starts mid-August and may run through early November. If your child is U11+ and their team progresses in to the the NHSL end of season playoffs, the season could be extended 1-2 weeks. DSA travel soccer also includes multi-game, multi-day tournaments on Memorial Day weekend and Columbus Day weekend and may include a multi-game one-day jamboree at the beginning of the season.
A player's team age range is determined as of August 1, as set forth
by US Soccer and NH Soccer Association rule. For example, a player
who is 8 as of August 1 shall be a U9 age player that fall and the
following spring even if they turn 9 during that period. See age chart if
